We would kindly like to inform you that from the 30.08.2016 all documents and papers that are required for use in the Republic of Austria will no longer require a complete and full authentication. Therefore it is kindly asked to no longer request the needed authentication of documents through the Austrian Embassy in Santiago of Chile, as the service will not be available from the already signaled date. The ratification over the authenticity of documents takes precedent through the so called “attestation of earnings” of The Hague, The Netherlands.

The competence of authority has been granted to “Apostille” from which more information can be accessed at:

We would kindly like to inform you that, all public Austrian documents that are required or wished  for submission from the 30.08.2016 in Chile, are to be presented exclusively before the competent Austrian authorities only, provided with the Apostille. Therefore the involvement and participation of the Chilean Embassy in Austria is no longer needed.

With the “Apostille”, the authenticity of the given signature and seals will be confirmed by the corresponding authority. Therefore the documents must be submitted on their original form.
